Estimados padres/ Dear Parents
This week we are going to continue with our curriculum. Our theme is Before and Now. This week in literacy we are going to provide ideas about how to make a book at home. We are also going to read a book from our curriculum about things that your children were able to do before and now. Once again, we are going to learn about directionality, the parts of a book, and we are also going to show a beneficial way to read to your child at home. You can talk to your child using a vocabulary that they can understand in Early Childhood we call it “Age Appropriate Vocabulary”. For example: you can say to your child “before the pandemic you use to go to school in bus or walking (depending how your child gets to school every day. Now you are learning from home” “Now you are learning at home to be safe and don’t get sick” If you have olders or youngest (Children) sibilings at home you can say to your child “ you were a baby like your little brother o little sister before, now you are a big child” or “your brother or sister were little like you before” “now they are teenegers.”
