Materiales: *Cinta *Liston *Palos
Reviewing the shapes
Hello everyone! This week we will be reviewing the shapes (circle, triangle, rectangle and square).
Objective: Your child will demonstrate understanding of the concept of shapes.
Materials: *Tape *String *Sticks
Activities that will help your child review and practice the concept of shapes:
*Create floor shapes. Use tape or other material to create a large outline of a shape on the floor/carpet.
*Walk around the edge of the shape. Help children identify and count things like straight or curved lines and corners.
*Draw the shape in the air using large arm motions.
*Find objects that match the shape you are reviewing.
*Play I spy. Give a clue such as, I spy a red circle, and ask your child to guess what you see. When your child is ready, let him/her choose the object and give the clues.
Recommendations: If your child is able to identify, name, and describe these shapes (circle, triangle, rectangle and square) introduce new shapes! If your child is still working on learning these shapes, do not worry or stress! All children learn at a different pace. In this case, to better help your child, focus on one shape at a time.
**NOTE: Remember that your child is learning in Spanish. That is the reason why the videos provided appear in this language. Try your best to promote the use of these concepts in Spanish.
