This week we are going to focus our teaching on the importance of recycling to care for the Earth in Spanish. Objective: Your child will Demonstrate Understanding by responding appropriately the importance of taking care of the Earth in Spanish.
Activities to do with recycled objects:
1. Puppets with socks When a sock breaks, don't throw it away! You can use the pair to make puppets. It is as easy as sewing a couple of buttons for the eyes and using a piece of cloth of another color to make the hair and the mouth. You can create all kinds of animals and characters with this material. 2. A centipede with an egg container The cardboard egg container can be transformed into a beautiful centipede to decorate the children's room or as a puppet to tell the story of the Gluttonous Caterpillar (so famous among children). To do this, cut out each egg compartment, paint and glue them. Decorate as in the image and ready! 3. A pencil vase with a can This is one of the classic recycling activities with children and it's not for less! It is a simple and practical idea. Wash the can well before beginning to decorate it and remember to verify that it does not have any protruding tips that could harm children. Then everything is left to the imagination. Your child can paint it, use stickers or washii tape ... 4. A bag with old pants Without a doubt it is a nice idea to learn to sew and take advantage of the fabric of old pants. You can choose denim or tracksuit, but keep in mind that sewing denim is more complicated by the very resistance of the fabric. 5. A flower pot made with a rain boot Use your children's old rain boots to create nice flowerpots for your urban garden. Children will love planting and harvesting their own fruits and vegetables. 6. Mini greenhouses with plastic bottles Following the idea from the previous point, plant potted vegetables and fruits on your balcony and protect them with plastic bottles! Did it ever occur to you that soda or water bottles might be a perfect mini greenhouse? Cut out the base of the bottle, remove the plastic cap, and cover each bud with it. The best? You can water the plants without removing the greenhouse.
