Hello everyone! The following information is to be used over the summer. We hope that during this time, your child continues to learn and practice important skills that he or she should know for the beginning of K5. Objective: Your child will learn/practice the numbers from 1-10 in Spanish. Activities that will help your child name and identify the numbers from 1-10 in Spanish:
Do you want to help your children with math? Would you like to motivate them in an original and fun way? I have collected some crafts and games with which you can practice together. They will spend an afternoon at home with the children full of fun. And, incidentally, they can learn the numbers, and if they are older, some simple math operations. 1. numbered bowls with toilet paper tubes Bolos | Fuente: Color made happy Do you fancy a game? Create your own bowling pins with this craft. Materials
Toilet paper tubes
Colors temper
Steps
Paint each paper tube and number them with the numbers from 1 to 10.
Them make a ball of paper and play with your children to knock down the pins.
You can also play with the kids to sort the cardboard tubes in ascending or descending order, or to group them in odd and even numbers.
2. Number wheel with clothes pinsRueda de números | Fuente: Frau Liebe This Frau Liebe craft is perfect for teaching the smallest of the house to count. Materials
Paper board
Downloadable template
Cardboard or white paper
Wooden clothespins
Black marker pen, glue, and scissors
Steps
Download the template and print it.
Cut out a cardboard circle of the same size from your template to stick it underneath it and make it more consistent.
Write the numbers from 1 to 10 on a small square of cardboard or white paper, and stick them on your clothespins.
Now it’s up to the little ones to match each portion of the circle with its corresponding clamp.
3. Dishes to learn to count As simple as some plastic or foam plates on which to paint a number (we also recommend adding circles in the same amount indicated by the number that we have put) and some colored elements such as pompoms. Be careful with the pieces that are not dangerous that your child can swallow. On each plate we will have to help the child to place as many elements as the number indicates. A simple way to learn to count and to identify how the numbers are written.
Recommendations: Remember to keep the activities fun and relative to your child’s interests. Also, keep in mind to provide learning opportunities that are at your child’s level. At your child’s age they learn at different levels, some children learn fast and others learn a little slower. If your child is still working on learning the numbers, work with one number at a time. If your child already knows this, continue to introduce new numbers. If at any time you are frustrated because your child does not demonstrate an understanding of the activity, stop the activity, take a break, and resume the lesson at another time.
